Dr. Maria Di Donato, director of the Achievement & Wellness Center in Yardley, Pennsylvania, received her training from the creators and developers of the neurofeedback system. These include Barry Sterman, Siegfried and Susan Othmer, Robert Coban, Gary Schummer, Jay Gunkelman, Michael and Lynda Thompson, and others. Success with neurofeedback is measured by the number of people whose lives she has changed for the better.  The Achievement & Wellness Center treats a wide range of life-altering conditions, including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, autism, bipolar disorder, depression, learning disabilities, migraines, OCD/Tic & Tourette’s, stroke, and Developmental Trauma.  Seeing people achieve a better quality of life is Dr. Di Donato’s greatest satisfaction, and is committed to helping her patients accomplish this without the use of drugs.

Using state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures, the patient is evaluated to determine the best course of treatment, which often involves combining counseling psychotherapy, neurofeedback, and heart wave variability HRV, all of which are used to “reset” the brain and unlock its healing power without medications.  Connectivity training, improves processing, and is particularly helpful in treating learning disabilities.

Dr. Di Donato was originally trained as a classroom educator and school psychologist.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Education and Biology from Holy Family University, a Master’s degree in School Psychology and Counseling from Rider University, and a doctorate in School Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  She is also certified with BCIA in Neurofeedback.

In order to share her knowledge and advance the understanding of Neurofeedback as an alternative to medication for many disorders, Dr. Di Donato writes a column for several local journals.
